The Huntingdon Borough Police Department, in collaboration with MainStream Counseling, will be gathering at Standing Stone Coffee Company for Coffee with a Cop on October 10, 2019 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
Standing Stone Coffee Company has graciously hosted this event, on several occasions, for the past two years. This is a good example of a local business and police working together to promote a safer and more informed community. This program has been successful in bringing the police and community together since its’ implementation, and this could not have been accomplished without the assistance of Standing Stone Company Owners, Greg and Jesse Anderson.
Coffee with a cop brings police officers and the community members they serve together – over coffee-to discuss issues and learn more about each other. In a short time, citizens and police officers get to know each other and discover mutual goals for the communities they live in and serve. This program provides the opportunity for real conversations about issues that matter.
For this event, MainStream Counseling will be partnering with the Huntingdon Borough Police Department to focus on the topic of addiction, student assistance, prevention, treatment, and recovery programs. Huntingdon Borough Police will also be on hand to answer any questions in regards to the Police Department or concerns revolving around Huntingdon Borough.
The public is encouraged to come and enjoy, good food, good coffee and good conversation. This is a family friendly event; parents and children are encouraged to attend!!
Any questions can be directed to CPL. Charles T. Streightiff of the Huntingdon Borough Police Department – email@example.com.
